Welcome Back to School

Today, we welcomed all of our students back to the 2016-2017 school year.  I hope you had a fun-filled summer and some down time to spend with your family and friends.

This year, our school theme is “Living Like Jesus”.  We will use our Christ Skills to provide examples of what our students can do to “Live Like Jesus”:

Christ Skills:

Problem Solving Common Sense Curiosity Cooperation
Integrity Patience Self-Control Trustworthy
Forgive Fairness Grateful Humble
Responsibility Friendship Respect Wellness
Manners Joyful Resilient Generosity
Resourceful Pride Perseverance Organization
Sense of Humor Effort Initiative Flexibility
Caring Courage Kindness Honesty

Help Us Help Our School

We will kick off our Otis Spunkmeyer Cookie Dough Sale on August 25th.  Please help us reach our goal of $3,500 in profit.  If each of our students sells at least five items, we should be able to meet this goal.  Remember, these fundraisers help us pay for field trips, school community activities, and materials needed for the classroom.  Students will also have the opportunity to win prizes based on the amount of items sold.  Your student will bring home their fundraising packet on August 25th. The sale will run until September 13th.

Back to School Picnic

The PTO welcomes you to our 2nd Annual Back to School Picnic!  The Picnic will be held on Saturday, August 27th at the Sarah Colman-Livengood Park in Raytown (5912 Lane, Raytown, MO, 64133).  The festivities will begin at 5:30pm and conclude at 8:30pm.  The PTO will provide hot dogs, hamburgers, games, and more!  Please bring a bag of chips to contribute to the meal. We will have some drinks available.  We look forward to seeing you there!

Reminders

Uniform Reminders:  Please remember your student(s) should be following the uniform policy listed on pages 31-34 in the Handbook.  All shirts should be tucked in; students in grades 2-8 must wear belts; socks must be solid red, white, black, or navy in color with no decorative designs.  Students out of uniform will receive a written warning.  Please check with your teacher on the grade level policy following the written warning.

On behalf of the entire Faculty and Staff at St. Regis School, thank you for sharing your student(s) with us.  We look forward to working with you and your student.  Please feel free to stop in and say hello.

Welcome to the New School Year!
