Hurtado Program

We are very proud of our Hurtado Scholars!

The Hurtado program was established to help fifth grade students from Holy Cross, Our Lady of the Angels, and St. Regis to prepare for high school at Rockhurst.  The program requires its members to participate in an after school program twice a week and a summer program each summer until their freshman year in high school.  This program enriches the boys in all subject areas. They also participate in retreats and service projects.  This is the second year St. Regis has been invited to participate.  During the 2015-2016 school year, Anthony Murphy was selected and has represented our school in the program.  This year, we are thrilled to announce the program has selected five of our young men: Cole Barrera, Jeremiah Johnson, Matthew Mears, Austin Pendergraft, and Dean Stewart.  In order to be accepted into this program, our students had to complete the application form, have a teacher and a principal recommendation, and have an interview by Rockhurst staff.  These boys have worked very hard to participate in this program. Congratulations!
